Sounds like your boys need to be on their best behavior with you having that "Spanking Itch". :) I can relate to that!

You are so right in 5 yr old boys needing frequent spankings. Julian has consistently been over my lap at least twice each week since I've started babysitting him this summer, most recently this last Friday. But I remember it being much the same way with my son Jason, his friends, and my nephews at that age.

It's not that spankings don't work with them, they just don't retain teachable moments very long at that age, with any punishment you may try doing. Very much "little goldfishes" (for memory) at that age. :) But I have found at least with a good, sound spankings they do keep well behaved longer compared to other methods.

Yes, you are correct, when I washed Derek's mouth out (and spanked his bare bottom) a little over 3 months ago, it happened with another friend of Andy's as well, Kevin. If you recall, both boys stayed overnight after Andy's birthday party and it was once again related to swearing while playing video games, as well as for fighting (not physically) with one another. But this time Andy was smart enough to keep himself out of it and only Derek and Kevin had their mouths soaped and bare bottoms spanked soundly.

Mary, I feel it is only inevitable we become "MOOOOMMMMYYY!!" again. As long as we are doing our job correctly in giving them the good and proper spanking that they need. Which has never been a problem for the moms on this group.

And I agree with how adorable it is when they are promising you anything and everything, just to get us to stop spanking them. I am of course still focused on my task at hand, spanking them soundly, but I have to admit I do often smile inside on how cute it is, hearing how they become my little boy or girl again, the desperate pleas, apologies and promises to "NEEVER DOOO IT AGAAAAIN!!" while I continue to spank.
