I had to go look up what molto bene meant, but I assumed it meant something along the lines of "good". lol

It does feel that way already in having my hands, and lap, full this summer! I've already had to give quite a few spankings in the short amount of time since school has let out, including 5 poolside spankings, which is quite a bit more than in recent years at this point. And where of course the children have been doing a lot of (hard) crying and complaining, I certainly haven't been!

Andy is always pushing for a later bedtime. :) Like you, I have always extended the children's bedtime an hour in the summer (or non-school nights). Right now for Andy his bedtime is 10pm for the summer (it was 9pm for school). Although I am more flexible with sleepovers and usually let the children stay up a couple hours later. Andy is actually currently in the middle of a 2 week visit. We will have him until Sunday.

Maria, I found with my son (and now with Andy) that when they were Joesph's age, having to put them over my lap happened quite consistently at around once a week. There were times where they might have had a good week and not need to be spanked at all. But I will be honest, if they had streaks, it was more bad ones than good ones. It happened more often where I had to spank them more than once a week than not at all.

How has today turned out for Joseph? Did you end up needing to spank him?
