My spanking itch has been scratched quite consistently so far this summer. I find I have to spank more often during the summer months in general, but it has been even more so this summer compared to more recent years. However, I am certainly not complaining! Although of course I can't say the same for the children. :)

Oh yes, Andy was absolutely shocked when I came down the stairs. His eyes wide, hand still clamped over his mouth, as if holding it there would take the swear word back. I could also tell he was quite terrified. You are exactly correct, he already knew full well what Mommy was going to do before I made it clear to him.

Laura, I have never been a mom to take a child to another room for a spanking. Their spanking takes place in the same room where they misbehaved, even if others are present. Andy's recent spanking was no different in that regards. Derek has seen Andy spanked many times already (and vice-versa Andy seeing Derek's spankings), but I agree with you I feel it is always a good reminder for the children to actually see another spanking to reinforce what can, and will happen, with them. And as said in my reply to SJ Mom, it is an excellent reminder on to behave well, especially if they have already started to go down that naughty route. I don't know how many times I've seen behavior go the other direction (in the good way) when they have seen me give a good spanking to one of their siblings/friends/cousins.

It is hard to say when Derek will be over my lap again. However, he probably will be over here relatively often this summer and the boys are also going to be having another sleepover here on Thursday night. That the boys are 15 yrs old now, the sleepover may very well go over without a hitch. Or, like has happened many times in the past with the boys, and Mary has accurately named, it could turn into a spankover.
