Subject: To comment on the use of certain judges.Remember Feiseanna have to pay travel fees/expenses for judges, in addition to their services the day of. Feiseanna are required to have 1/3 from out of region. Many feis go with the closest out of region judges.

Further, feiseanna will solicit judges, but for many, they may already be committed to other feiseanna that weekend or have other obligations.

Need to remember, just because a particular judge is listed for a feis, doesn't mean that s/he will be on the same stage as your dancer. I know it seems that the odds are against you and the judge is always judging, but to be fair, it probably isn't.

To not go to a feis because one of the judges is someone you don't like, out of 15 judges or so comes across as a little shallow. It's one judge out of many.
