Subject: Again? The other region board has a lengthy, two week thread still going. Grinding an axe about it? Register a complaint, with fee, at the feis, if it bothers you this much. The TCs make the call for the dancer to move. Once moved, and if for NANS, will have to stay in OC for two years.
In reply to: Why bother with rules if they are ignored? 's message, "What kind of loophole is there for a MAR prelim dancer to attend NANs who only has 2 prelim wins and did not qualify at their Oireachtas?" on 14:00:04 05/26/18 Sat

Not much you can do about it, other than file a complaint and hope you have your facts straight. You may not know all the facts and details and that may come back on you.

If you do, you most likely will not hear the outcome and those dancers will most likely dance at NANS.

TCs had to have registered those dancers for NANS several weeks ago, so they are dancing OC prior to NANs as also required. TC also had to allow/permit the dancer to compete in OC at a feis.

Believe it or not, some dancers have earned firsts out of region, at feises that don't report placements, or even earned a first two, three, five years ago, too. You might not have all the details.

Admittedly, it doesn't seem "fair" but, just let it go at that. Worry about your own dancer.

  • How do you know for sure someone has been registered for Next Next NANs at this point? Someone in your school maybe?? Again as the above mentioned - from the other discussion - how are you absolutely sure there isn't a 3rd? My DD had a first at a defunct feis and those results are no where.. (NT) -- R U sure you have the facts??, 22:57:08 05/26/18 Sat
