Subject: I feel her pain, it's awful, but it's probably taking her longer than most kids because she's trying to do it gradually. The process will go better if she just sucks it up (more)

the leather has to be warm to soften, so the more you try to do it gradually the longer it will take, if that makes sense. I take my daughter's old shoes away after a couple of partial practice sessions in the old ones so that she has to wear the new ones to class. Only way to get them on her feet long enough to soften and mold properly. Blister bandaids and desitin on healing feet will help, but sometimes you just have to tough it out for a few classes
