Subject: I think there is a difference, a lot of time with the short dress, it wasn’t done on purpose, especially younger dancers.

We usually discovered that a dress was too short at a feis, after a growth spurt. After that, Leo and skirt, post dress for sale, and order a new one before the next major. There were years where we couldn’t get a year out of a dress.
