Subject: Here's the problem - sure, they could say "all PW in the AM" or "champs will run youngest to oldes" but when the numbers are in, THAT's when you see why it won't work, because some groups will then be waiting for hours while other groups drag on, because you also have to account for conflicts etc.
In reply to: Not a smart approach 's message, "I think this is a perfectly good suggestion, and for me, it certainly would be helpful.. There are certain angry people on this board who like to lecture others about not attending enough feiseanna, but then attack people who make perfectly polite suggestions about increasing attendance." on 21:24:06 10/01/18 Mon

And no matter how you set it up there will be a flood of emails and messages asking that it be changed to accommodate their preference. So in the end, there will be a lot of pissed off people who swear they will never return to that feis because of delays caused as a result of setting up a time schedule without a care for the actual numbers and conflicts. ALL of us have had or currently have the same situation of other kids or other conflicting activities, and we work around them as best we can, including splitting up for the day, buddying up with other parents to transport to activities, etc. I guarantee no other activity is changing their schedule to accommodate anyone - at least in my experience with other types of dance, soccer, baseball, basketball etc etc. You have to go with the flow and make the best decision you can.

  • That's what some of you are missing.No-one "attacked" but pointed out this is not new.Parents have had to make choices for years. Depending on the venue and numbers, and judges, changes are going to be made from year to year. Until you actually work scheduling and planning a feis, It's so hard to do (NT) -- with larger feiseanna, 12:04:02 10/02/18 Tue
