Author: I did not dance but my child loves it..more inside
Subject: The grades room was way too crowded. This seems to be the norm at most of the feisanna I attend. As usual, people hog the chairs and leave belongings on them all day without any consideration for those who might actually need to sit for five minutes or for kids that need to change shoes.
In reply to: Mom 's message, "If there were no chairs in the grades ballroom it prob would have been better. Very cramped. Nice venue though and good location. Would come back." on 08:01:11 06/24/19 Mon

It makes for a long and tiring day when you are standing for hours and bumping into people all day. Older people who were trying to watch their grandchildren could not see from the chairs in the back because of the swarms of people standing behind the judges. In my opinion, parents should not be permitted to stand that closely behind the judges tables. They try way too hard to see what the judges are writing and at times they could. Also, I saw at least five parents of novice dancers blatantly filming their children on their phones. It was very obvious yet nothing was said. The grades room was running extremely slow, at least an hour and a half behind what one would have calculated. The Hyatt employees I encountered were accommodating and helpful and couldn't have been nicer. I liked the venue overall, just not the grades room. I'm not sure if I would go back.
