Author: happens and good for those who are able to do so
Subject: Yes, it is possible. Know of a dancer who barely recalled one year in a huge group and then placed in top ten the next year. The dancer has remained in the top ever since. All due to hard work, focus, and determination.
In reply to: Really? 's message, "Majors are scored based on the day, but is it typical for dancers to not place and then be top 10 the next year? Not just one but several in my DDs age group with this big swing. I'm not talking about a dancer jumping from 60th to 30th but not placing to top 10?" on 12:26:22 07/08/19 Mon

  • Problem with NANS is the high and low scores are not dropped. So someone could get a random high score and then average scores from the other judges and that high score sends them way up in the ranking (NT) -- frustrating, 10:30:29 07/10/19 Wed
  • Given there were only 3 judges per round at NANS, it would be difficult to drop the high and the low scores. No matter what way it's calculated, there will always be someone who will be unhappy. (NT) -- DM, 10:45:16 07/11/19 Thu
