Author: How long do we let ID go with no rules?
Subject: My daughter keeps up with who is winning PC and making OC in her age group. I don't think that's unusual, especially for teens.

She and a couple other girls were checking the competitor list for an upcoming feis and noticed a dancer that to their knowledge should not be in open. This dancer has struggled to place for several years, let alone win and unless she went on an extended vacation this summer and found 3 feises somewhere to win, there is no way she actually made it to open. What do you do this? Let it go because they'll bottom out in open? Then where is the accountability if nothing is done and we all just let it go? If there are rules, why don't teachers have to answer to someone about moving dancers up, esp. in the champ ranks? In the teen ages, there should be no teacher discretion. You either earn it or you don't. This isn't an unbelievably talented 6 year old who can't find enough competition for wins to count.
