Subject: what duck egg is it?

we saw a duck get taken by a coyote in a wheat field, and could not see what kind of duck it was, as we were too far away.When we went over to look where it happened, we found twelve creme colored eggs scattered about. Does any one know what kind of duck, it appeared to be mid size, gadwall or pintail, maybe even mallard, lays this color of egg? We put them under a chicken, and are anxious to see what comes of them. thanks very much
