The win over UNCW and Yale are nice no doubt about it, but IMO those games don’t compare to beating teams from one of the major conferences. UNCW and Yale are mid major victories, when is the last time Fairfield beat a Big East team like Providence or St John’s or a ACC team like UNC? I mean you had St Johns at home and LOST while the Jaspers had them on neutral floor and won, that speaks volumes don’t you think? No anytime you beat a major conference team the win is special

As for writing off Fairfield, or any other team for that matter, you won’t see me do that. Personally I’ve been saying since the beginning of the year that Fairfield has as much or more talent than anyone in the league, unfortunately for the stags you also have the worst coach in the MAAC IMO in TOT. Right now I would rate Siena and Manhattan the best teams based on OOC games. Although I do think the Stags have a leg up on one of the all important top 4 MAAC finishes, I believe Iona and Canisius will fight it out for the last and final top four spot, and even that could change perhaps a Niagara or Marist gets hot. Bottom line still a lot of time left and most things are opinions at this point, and we all know about opinions ;-)
