I don't think there is an alum or friend of the Fairfield program that doesn't want to see favorite son Tim O'Toole succeed. The expectations when he arrived were enormous--next coming of Pitino etc etc. He hasn't come anywhere close to meeting the school's, or, I am sure, his own expectations.

I wish I could say he has it all together with the X and Os--but I dont think that is true. However he certainly has found a group of kids that are responding and feeding off his personality. When they are at their best, TOT has his kids dominating defense and the boards and completely outhustling the other team. Offensive plan and substitution pattern are head scratchers. I think Deng Gai is one of the most athletic, defensivel dominating players the MAAC has seen in along time. Rebounding and D will be hat TOT hangs his hat on.

I think he gets it done this year, finally. But I am of course eternally hopeful.
