quadman it's really both. If you don't have an overall game plan both offensive and defensive that works you're gonna have serious problems. rdjc in my opinion is right on the money. Further its always been my experience that if the kids don't feel they have a solid offensive game plan the defense will suffer.

Telling kids to just go out and play hard doesn't get it, nor does this constant BS of pointing out in the local newspapers whose in the coaches "doghouse" for lack of effort.
