The Point guard is a the toughest position on the court to play. Like it or not, unless you are at Duke, you are going to struggle in your first year at the Division I level.

I do not think that we had a valid game plan to start the season. It was wishful thinking that a community college player could step in and lead this program at the point. Wasn't Prosper Karangwa recruited to play the point? Why did we go away from that, considering how well we played in the post season last year?

Hind sight is 20 20, but it is clear that Karangwa should have been playing the point all along, while helping Jackson learn the position at this level as a backup so that he could be a solid contributor next year.

Now, we are basically throwing away next season because he just hasn't gotten enough quality minutes to learn. And if Lanier thinks this superstar point guard we grab for next year is going to solve all our problems, he better think again.
