Clearly Iona had lots of promise entering this season, but I was reasonable in my expectations, predicting 14-13, 10-8, 4th place. I still am reasonable, but I'm having fun now because it looks like we'll exceed my expectations (at least the records I predicted), and that's without Jenkins. Some of you guys (Tony comes to mind) have made fun of my "no expectations" comments in the past but they have merit. I no longer show great elation over any one win (the UNC game a rare exception) or any one loss. We, like Siena, are erratic because of our youth and because the few veterans we do have have careers marked with inconsistency. One night, Fields plays like he's an NBA prospect and the next, he's picking up stupid, stupid fouls when we need him the most (see last night's game) and isn't even on the floor to help us.

Gonna be a fun February!
