Not that Title IX doesnt need to be adjusted, but it, for the most part, has been good. First, it is not a sports only law, it was put in to place to help girls get the same educational opportunites as boys do. Remember, this law was put into play 30 years ago and this law had a lot to do with bringing equality to education over the last 30 years. Like it or not, but extracurricular activities are part of the educational experience.

Much of the current problems with Title IX is just dollars and cents. Schools are figuring that it less expensive and just plain easier to do away with programs rather than start new ones to bring them into compliance.

Oh, and I believe that Siena (as do all colleges)does received some form of federal funding, such as federal student loans offered as part of a financial aid package.
