Japhet McNeil is a senior and is qualified. Canisius is reportedly interested in him, as are Hartford, St. Peter's, Binghamton and Bradley, according to Rivals. Manhattan, with two freshman point guards, Jason Wingate and Kenny Minor, is apparently looking at Mitchell Beauford. Canisius will have Dewitt Doss back after a redshirt - he will be a junior in terms of eligibility. I don't want to offend anyone, but I would think that Siena, with its fan support, obvious need for a PG (read: playing time immediately available) and talented young returnees next year, would be perceived as a more attractive destination than the other eastern schools. Bradley has a great tradition and fan support equal to or better than Siena's, but that program has been down for the last few years, is only 6-11 this season and is a long way from home for a kid from the City. Whether it will be McNeil or not remains to be seen, but look for Coach Lanier to bring in a PG in the Fall.
