I think Ferguson, I mean Lanier :) is doing a great job.

If before the season, I told you that Prosper would be shooting 38% and making over 4 to’s per game, and Miller, Sniezyk and Jackon and Williams would all pretty much be busts, I don’t think anyone would expect Siena to be 10-5.

Also, 5 –4 in the 9 games since Jackson was benched is very respectable. The wins came against teams with a combined 38 – 39 record, including a Big East team and a team that whipped a one time ACC powerhouse. :-)

The losses came against teams with a combined 37 – 21 record, including a top 25 team, the favorite to win the MAAC and the first place team in the CAA. I don’t think Siena has had a single “bad” loss.

LMU 6-11 (Neutral)
Montana St 7-9 (Road)
Providence 9-5 (Home)
Iona 9-6 (Home)
Niagara 7-8 (Road)

Xavier 11-4 (Home)
Delaware 9-5 (Home)
Manhattan 11-3 (Road)
Canisius 6-9 (Road)

In the six games that Jackson started Siena played only one team with a winning record (8-6 Toledo) and lost. The 5 wins came against teams with a combined record of 23 – 47 (.328)

Albany 5-10 (Home)
Bordham 2-12 (Road)
Northern Iowa 5-8 (Home)
Canisius – 6-9 (Home)
SPC 5 – 8 (Road)

Toledo – 8-6 (Road)

It seems almost certain that the superior competition of the last 9 games would have exploited Jackson’s complete lack of an offensive game. He’s shooting .293 from the floor and hasn’t hit a 3 pointer all year. He’s not even much of a playmaker 1.7 assists in 17 minutes per game.
