Subject: couple of thoughts ...

1) Huge loss if Haddix is out for an extended period of time. But, this is the type of game Justin Miller has stepped up in, in the past. Remember the Fordham game when he was a frosh, when Clinton and Taylor went out with injuries, Justin had a double double and never left the starting lineup the rest of the year. He doesnt have to score alot, but he has to rebound and has to play tough interior defense.

2)I'm more concerned with the Saints ability to handle the Stag's pressure. They have a bunch of tough, quick guards who will try to make the Saints play at their speed, not the Saints. It would be great if Jamal Jackson could have a solid game, to settle the Saints down. His biggest problem, so far, has been in making good decisions.

3) Kudos to Fairfield for starting the MAAC so strong, this is the week to find out "if they are for real" or not. I think they are and this week is their opportunity to put some distance between them and the 2nd and 3rd place teams. Say what you will about TOT, but they've won 6 straight MAAC games this year, and I think finished the season with 6 wins last year prior to losing to the Saints in the tourney.

4) regarding the Bonnies/Siena debate ... there is no right answer ... the Bonnies play in the A10, have great local fan support and have beaten the Saints the last couple of times they've played, but the Saints have been more successful overall and in the postseason and have great fan and local media support. Their both good programs. 'nuff said.

5) To Eagle ... I dont take Coach Lanier's post game comments to be disrepectful or juvenile. He didnt say Siena was better than Canisius ... he said that the team that played with desperation won (I equate that to, the team that played with greater intensity won) It's true isnt it?

6) wow, I expected Rider to struggle, but not quite this bad!!! funny, we havent seen the raver around in a while. I'm sure he is just "too busy to waste his time on the internet".

I love my 'zaints!!!! Let's get back on track tonight!!!!
