Subject: Great Points Insider
In reply to: The Insider 's message, "Football, hockey and other sports for Siena" on 15:10:06 01/16/03 Thu

Insider-you have made three great points here. I think I would love to see a Siena hockey team. The club team has done very well in the past, and wouldn't it be something to see a tri-city rivalry in that sport. Providence College and Niagara are both schools that we could model our program after, and it would be a sport where we could really distinguish ourselves and put our names on the map. We have a crappy football team, let's face it, and honestly, with no scholarships to give, that is not going to change. If I was a good high school player, I would never go to Siena. I would go to Union before I went to Siena. What is the point of having a D-I sport that would get destroyed in most D-III leagues? Football is expensive, the players are, for the most part, jerks, and it does nothing to add to our school. I say DUMP IT...it is just an embarrasment...
