You made a lot of points, so I'll try to address them all:

1. Agree 100% on the team playing hard. That's what happens when you recruit kids with character instead of thugs.

2. I'll disagree on the "not too many offensive options" thing. Iona shoots 46% as a team and something like 36% from 3 and scores in the 70s, so the offensive skills are there. That said, they do miss Jenkins in that the offense revolved around him--we don't have any other reliable post players with that kind of size. Smith posts up well, but with no Jenkins alongside him, he usually draws the opponent's biggest man now.

3. I think you put too much emphasis on the size of Siena's front line, both in general and compared to Iona. First off, size doesn't mean you'll win the MAAC. Second, again, let's not forget that our only true center, Jenkins, wasn't out there, so of course we look small. And call it hustle or Siena flat or whatever you want, but with all that size you got outrebounded by Manhattan and had only 5 more rebounds than a team that played a 3-guard look most of the night.

4. So you're basing the whole freshman class debate on one game in your own building? I'll give you Haddix, outside of Kiki Clark he's had the biggest impact in the league. But our freshman class is probably more balanced than yours. Burtt's had a 20-point game, Waschmann put up 18 vs Batemon despite giving up lots of pounds and inches, Soliver has been solid all-around, and McCullough is one of the MAAC's leaders in assist-to-turnover ratio if I'm not mistaken. And let's not forget that one of those members of your "superior" freshman class, David Ryan, wasn't even good enough to suit up this year.

I've already congratulated you guys on a good win, but don't get delusional on me, Tony. You were supposed to win this game. :-)
