I often thought having an on-campus facility would be better, and perhaps also some kind of hockey program to keep the place occupied.

Part of the issue is that the attendance at Siena games fluctuates wildly with the success of the program. A few less-than-stellar seasons and that attendance could well dwindle down under 1,500 a year.

I agree - an on-campus facility would re-connect the program with the school in my opinion.
