he is athletic 6'8 skinny kid.
he played for archbishop carroll in washington d.c. then transferred to morristown during the season last year..
he is being recruited as a small forward.
he can jump out of the gym. has no jump shot and gets most of his points on layups.
he has games this year of
12 points and 1 rebound.
17 points against a powerful seton hall prep team. got 12 of those against the subs. shp blew out morristown.
last nite he got 8 points and 10 boards.
he was offered after the early signing period. thats why no letter of intent.
according to his coach siena is also after 2 other morristown kids. clarke a 6'8 center who is the team's best player and brown a guard. brown cant handle pressure defenses and from what i have seen of his scoring he does not do that well either. last nite 4 points other games 8 and 5.
caldwell has not been recruited by any big east teams.
he played in 4 games at carroll last year and 12 at morristown. he did not make the top 25 list in his county last year in nj.
i already posted about that.
if anything caldwell is being recruited on his athleticism.
i thought it odd when story broke about caldwell verbalizing that the newspapers were able to get quotes from lanier about the kid. coaches are not allowed to talk about recruits until loi is signed.
