I was twelve years old when I was admitted to a mental hospital for depression. I barely knew what that meant at the time. For induction I had to strip naked and they had a little chart that had a simulated image of a human body on it. Basically for them to note anything unusual.

I had a female worker who was going to do it but she said I had the option to have her or ask for a male. I asked for a male. I think it was probably a male nurse or possibly an orderly, I'm not sure even today.

I stripped naked and ended up getting an erection. First time I had really been erect in front of another guy. But he didn't say anything and I didn't say anything either. I do wonder what would have happened if I had asked him if it was "normal" because at the time I had just started puberty recent and barely understood what was going on and how to handle it.

Anyhoo. That first night I was in the shower and lo and behold the curtain is drawn by one of the nurses on staff. A black lady probably in her late 30s early 40s. There I am under the water in my birthday suit and she's not one foot from me. One of the first adult women to see me naked since my mother or possibly a doctor, though I don't remember female docs seeing me before then. I remember running around naked with a friend at his house when I was five because his mom had given us a bath.

Anyway. I chubbed up, got a semi but did not thankfully get fully erect. I think that would have been the most embarrassing if I had. But she still saw me naked and to this day, I believe she did it BECAUSE she wanted to see me naked and knew that she COULD DO IT. Sort of a hazing thing on her part. I look back these days and find it surprising that she did not come in the next day or so and force me to undress in front of her to get into the shower. Embarrassing as hell though that first night. I was still "a minor" and it was the childrens' ward so I am sure I was not the first she had exposed, so to speak.

I spent three months there. Later one of my last roommates, a kid about maybe seven or eight, also a boy, mentioned to me that he was told he could keep his underwear on, but that he had gotten a female nurse that took him through the entrance processes.

At least we didn't have to pee in front of them. We did have to fill vials of urine but we were allowed to do it in private. For some reason they were always a pain in the ass about you using the bathroom at night. I dunno, looking back maybe it was due to possible masturbatory behavior, who knows. That place wasn't the best the three months that I was there, but I wasn't seen naked again except by my first roommate, a small black kid around ten years old my first night. Wasn't used to being naked or being seen naked by other boys either, but at least we were both boys at the time.
