Parents want their children to have a good life, and nowadays it's almost impossible to have it without a good job. To get a good job you need to finish a good school.
Yet, teenagers want to have fun, experience a lot of pleasures this world has to offer, and they rarely think about their futures.
Parents need to somehow influence their children that studying is in their best interests. You can have some fun too, but responsibilities come first.
I understand your point of view, and your mother's, and I'm sorry but I have to take her side. You may hate it now, but one day you'll be glad that your mom gave you education.
Think of it in this way, few more years, and you will save yourself from decades of living in poverty.
If you cannot understand these concepts, then I hope you can understand the sting of each and every swat of the paddle that you receive. Being naked for your punishments must be awful, and paddlings hurt a lot. Still, if it's the only thing that works, then it's worth it.
