Subject: Waiting

Hello. I have a fiance in another cpuntry (England). we met online about two years ago. We have applied for a petition for alien fiance. That was in March. It is now July and we have not heard from anyone, just the same message telling me that it is still being processed. I have three questions: Are there extra security checks after 9/11? Why did a friend of mine get her aproval quicker than I did? My fiance has a police record, does that affect the length of time? I just wonder if anyone has been through this experience. I am becoming very discouraged. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
