Yeah, fan appeal to see Syracuse, not Niagara. You think 15,000 people went to the HSBC to see Canisius?

Next game, Canisius didn't draw 1000 people.

That's some real good fan interest if you ask me.

Purp 1 says: You play Syracuse when you can field a team that can challenge and defeat them.

Not sooner.

Seriously, do you really think we couldn't play with SU on a regular basis?

I am serious, I think we can but feel playing on s regular basis is key. Under that condition NU’s “story” is enhanced and athletes, IMO, would find NU a more attractive place to play. A one year deal will not work; however, play them for 10 years straight and I believe the game becomes a solid athletic investment.

Re the 15,000 fans that watched SU play Canisius, does it matter who they came to see? Canisius still made a lot of dough, right? If 15,000 will come for Canisius imagine how many would want to see four starters from the same high school? Maybe for the first time in 40 years there would be scalpers for college ball in WNY. What’s not to like?
