Bona gets 4 Star, 6-7 forward. He had many offers. Huge signing for depleted Bona squad.

Even with their losses to the portal, Bona will still be tough. They have the Patriot League rookie of the year coming in, Banks from SPU, a top scorer from Hartford, and a couple of freshmen who redshirted. Schmidt is an excellent organizer and recruiter. He’s earning the $1.2 million SBU annually pays him.

Expect this to be the new trend. Schools like Bona get their four-year veterans poached by the big football schools and then they replenish their roster with the best young players from leagues below the A10. These transfer rules need tweaking.
