Okay real quick.
So when I was coaching the club hockey team we had a dad of a kid on the team who owned a print shop on Long Island. Back in the day the team got basically no money from the school. I think the player dues even back then was like $2000 or something crazy like that.

So this dad made a pair of hoodies for the coaching staff. Kind of like a gift. So we were playing Adrian College one weekend. We visited this pawn shop in Detroit that had a reality show being filmed at it.

Somehow there was a picture that came out with me and some other guys in the store. A few days later there was an email sent basically saying that we are/were open to a lawsuit for not using properly trademarked NU gear. Of course I had no idea I was breaking the law or anyone was for that matter. It was just a hoodies.

The email was essentially a cease and desist order from the school. If I remember correctly the email stated that if caught again, the team would have to pay NU some form of fine. This was maybe 12-13 years ago. I still have the hoodie and wear it someway reguarly. I always chuckle when I put it on.
