This is exactly what I said Niagara needed to do hahaha.

25,000-square foot addition to the Reilly Center.

This focal point will hold the men’s and women’s basketball staff offices, a basketball practice court, which is common for A-10 men’s and women’s basketball, and a state-of-the-art strength and conditioning area that will be utilized by every student-athlete and will become a magnet for recruiting future Bonnies.

Following completion of the landmark Athletics Center, renovations will be made within the Reilly Center, including an expanded sports medicine suite as well as the creation of dedicated locker rooms for every team.

I should add they are also building a dome for Soccer and Lacrosse. That's a major competitive/recruiting advantage over Canisius, Niagara and UB.

I wonder where the money for all of this is coming from.

It's part of a $125M capital campaign. The silent portion of the campaign already raised nearly half of it. For athletics, our AD was responsible for major campaigns at SU and Duke.

St. Bonaventure is one of the smallest schools in the country, yet it has accomplished what all of us have wished for Niagara over the decades. SBU is in an outstanding conference (A-10) and is a more than competitive basketball program. Bona has used its' basketball success to grow its' program; which in turn has allowed the University to maintain itself in a very rural geographical area far from any large metropolitan city and airport.

KUDOS to the Bonnies for doing what Canisius and Niagara have failed to do even with their locations close to a relatively big city with an international airport.

My dreams for Niagara were, in actuality, fulfilled by St. Bonaventure University.
So sad for us Niagara fans, yet so nice for Bonnie followers.
