Following is from an NFPD cop.

The Deveaux community is under seige.

The number of college rental houses in Deveaux is becoming a significant problem (It's been a problem for years). Nice houses are being bought, and individual rooms rented, creating mini hotels. The owners are from out of town; essentially slum lords. "Property managers" take care of the rents, and once in a while check the batteries in the smoke detectors.

Parties thrown every night. Beer cans and litter strewn about all of Deveaux. Good neighborhoods being turned upside down with loud music and drunken 19 and 20 year olds who couldn't care less that the people living there have kids of their own that need sleep, or have jobs and need to work in the morning.

Cars parked on front lawns, and covering sidewalks and crosswalks. Car loads of kids being shuttled back and forth between the NU dorms and college party houses.

There is no oversight, no regulations, no accountability, and the college administrators do not care what happens off campus.

But short-term rentals (AirBnB) are the problem?🤔 I don't know about you, but I would rather have a regulated, manicured and safe short-term rental next door than a college rental with 9 kids living in it.

The entire city is a SLUM ! Pine Avenue is so bad that companies have gone out of business, and those that haven't have lowered their hours of operation. Shooting, running people down with cars, etc, is the new Niagara Falls.

But since misery loves company, there a many cities in the US that are having the same problems: murders, shootings, drugs, rapes, assaults, car jackings, etc..

This is Biden's America ! Not politics, just the TRUTH !!

My brother and sister-in-law lived near Northwestern University, but had to move because of the constant gunfire and rifle fire around them. They were constantly dropping to their home's floor out of fear of being shot. That WAS a beautiful neighborhood, by the way. They just recently sold that house and moved to Rockford, Illinois to escape that terror. The Chicago area is so bad that McDonald's can't even find a Chief Manager to run that City's franchises.

So bad that even murderers are let go without bail by the communist DAs, who have been bought by George Soros and other leftists.

The sad thing is, that the worst is yet to come. The hoodlums are now moving out into the upper and middle class neighborhoods all around the country, but mostly in the BLUE STATES.

I miss the Trump years when Niagara Falls was like Mayberry.

Trust me , we had our leading receiver and starting linemen out., But I can tell you Michigan would never have beaten the Huskies tonight. Instead, Michigan won its 3rd straight game over 3 cupcakes; and you know it !

MSU could have played Connecticut, Hawaii, etc, and be 3-0 also, and you know that, as well. At least we played a PAC 12 team with Michael Penix, Jr, at QB, not Connecticut who has also lost to an FCS team.
