If I was a highschool recruit who just signed a LOI to a D1 University I would tell all my friends and relatives how excited I was and would get on the NET to see all the nice things the school wrote about me.Hell- I'm only 18 and love to see my name in print.
The problem signing with NU is that even though they have 3000 students and hundreds of staff who spend about a million hours on their computers, they just aren't into their own website. So they ignore and insult their newest recruits by not updating BB info in more than 25 days and counting. If I was Mr.Cooley or Mr.Williams I would wonder if I actually was a PURPLE EAGLE.
OK,I'm not a recruit and I'm not the cheerleader PURP1 is,nor am I the downer that NOSHOT is.I'm just a fan who thinks NU neglects one of the most basic ways to promote informative, exciting and up to date news concerning its athletic programs.
Fisher is gone-good luck and GOD SPEED.I'v read about his new ventures more than I need to.That info is now history. Can't NU find the time to tell WNY about it's new recruits? Is that not what the local fans want to know today? When I want to know about the past I turn on the History Channel, when I want to know about the present I go to a website.Unless I want news about NU-then I go to this board.I wonder if Austin and Eric know about the board? If they do then they can tell their friends and relatives that in fact they really are PURPLE EAGLES!

Continuous, informative updates on recruiting, scheduling, etc. is a must to build a following for NU sports.

The lack of information is very frustrating. It is especially acute given the status of college ball in western NY. We could own the college basketball franchise, lock, stock & barrel if we were more attuned to getting info out.

What I can't understand is why we are playing schools like Appalachian St. Western Michigan, Central Connecticut State, Towson, etc. when DePaul is looking for games, so is LaSalle & St. Joe’s on a regular basis, and both Bonas and CC can schedule Syracuse and we can't....correction, won't. It boggles my mind...and where is the game with BC that was supposed to come about?

The schedule this year is much better and that is pleasing but not playing DePaul regularly seems like another lost opportunity each and every year for Niagara. Siena would die to play DePaul and St. John's each year...and all we have to do is pick up the phone, and we won't...why?

It is my understanding that a new arena may be coming to Niagara Falls via the Seneca’s…bringing in teams who will bring in the fans is a must
