Even though few on the board expected 19 wins this past season, there is a lot of scepticism about our coming season and it's lineup.
Joe has seldom let us down on fielding a competitive team that is exciting and fun to watch. He seems to have recruited some good players this year with both size and ability and of course he is still in the hunt for more.
Let's not wait for the school to bring it to us like a TV tray waiting for a meal. Let's make the effort to move toward the school as supporters and try to make a game whether at home or on the road.
If you didn't know who Scott Stuart was, you are kind of a passive alumni. Although he was at Loyola Md, Scott always had his heart for Niagara and it was almost impossible to attend an alumni event and not have him greet you or wish you well. He was a wonderful person. Scott didn't wait for NU to come to him. He moved toward to school that he was so fond of.
In that spirit, let's remember Scott (or learn about him) for his spirit, energy and for what he gave to Niagara University. He was into NU as a student and took it from there.
Let's make an effort to move towards the school, rather than wait for them to present something for our palate.
That's the Niagara spirit and the void left by a man as giving and warm as Scott.

I meet Scott a number of times at events and he was purple and white, through and through.
I agree reach out to NU and embrace them. Ask of them.
We've gone from no winning seasons to regular winning seasons, to now expecting 20 wins seasons. To that point, I think fans can demand for more as many of us have.
I don't know how to reach out more with the time/distance I have to deal with.
Perhaps it's a forward, pointed to question to Ed or JAM at a public alumni event. I've been to sports banquets and little 3 gold outings. Perhaps someone gets up and says:
"Ed or Joe, why don't you post information about players that have given verbal commitments or signings for men's bball?", "I've read on-line from 3 sites that this Cooley has signed a LOI, but none of those 3 sites are the NU athletics dept webpage. Don't you think these kids want to be propped up a little by their new teams?"
So in the spirit of Scott, maybe we should seek out NU.

I agree. If you have an issue, I would email Ed and let him know what your feelings are. I would be surprised if you didn't get a response with some substance back. Ed would be the guy to OK the announcement.
