 It would take you longer by plane to get to Toronto from Athens, Ohio then Missouri. You can least fly non stop from St Louis after a two hour trip from Mizzou. Ohio U requires a three hour drive to Cincinnati and then a change of planes in Detroit. You might be right about the head thing but I would still take him.
