Subject: 1973 Mossberg Bicycle

To Whom it May Concern

I purchased a gold Mossberg bicycle new in 1972 or 73 when I was about 7 or 8. It took me an entire year to save enough money ($72.05 to be exact!) It was a special order through Eddy's bicycle shop in Stow, Ohio. I took exceptional care of this bike as it was my pride & joy at the time. It is my understanding that there were not many made and do to the fact it was deemed to be unsafe (that 3 speed shifter was a potential problem for young boys!) production may have only been for a few years. I've also googled Mossberg bicycles and so far I've not gotten any hits. In following, I believe this bike to be potentially rare.

I have restored many automobiles. And if this were a valuable car- I'd have the find of a lifetime. The most incredible aspect of this bike is the fact that it is in truly amazing original condition down to the seat and tires. I've attached a photo of the serial # for your consideration.

I would be happy to send pictures or any other information (lots more pictures!) you may require to substantiate my claims if you are at all interested.
