Subject: Handley Page HP.115

Hello,

I am an author/publisher of layman-oriented histories of experimental aircraft.
My current project is a history of the Handley Page HP.115, a British research aircraft which tested the low-speed behavior of the slender wing, chosen for the Concorde.
In 1971, the HP.115 was flown by several US guest pilots, including Neil Armstrong and Jim Patten from NASA and Ebbort, Kemple and Sample, who may have been USN test pilots. I have confirmed that they were not USAF or NASA.

Can you please tell me if Ebbort, Kemple and Sample were USN test pilots? If yes, can you provide their first name?

Thank you very much

Henry Matthews
