Haven't tried the Sovereign myself. The president of my metal detecting club has an Explorer with I believe that same type of probe...displays on his meter. Kinda neat.

As I said, not completely sold on the DFX yet. White's customer service, though, has been excellent to me replacing my first DFX when I called with problems without any hassle at all...in fact, their suggestion so they could take a look at it.

I'll let you know how it's going...provided this heat wave breaks. ;-)
