I was in Hollywood yesterday when the whole city went crazy. Fire engines, ambulances... I had no idea what was going on. They were also getting ready for a premiere on Hollywood Blvd. so certain blocks were closed and the traffic was insane. I headed back to Santa Monica about 1:30-2:00 and the sky erupted in helicopters. Then on my way home there was the tiniest tidbit on the radio saying Michael Jackson was in cardiac arrest and they would keep us listeners posted. Weird, huh?

He tried so hard to be like Elvis Presley and now, finally, he's gotten his wish. He's the one who proclaimed himself the "King of Pop" because Elvis was known as "the King." He went after Lisa Marie only because she was Elvis's daughter, with the sole intention of having a child with her (as did Nicolas Cage). His bizarre behavior and isolation also mirrored Elvis. And, you'll remember what a joke Elvis was in his last years -- overweight and bloated, forgetting the words to his songs. Both stories are completely tragic. I wouldn't be surprised if it comes out that either his death was intentional, or faked, and then we'll have "MJ sightings" for years to come. What a waste of good talent.
