Like you, I'm a person that has always wanted to be on top of everything, in control of my life. I want to share a couple of things with you that I learned at a VERY early age. Having grown up in a VERY dysfunctional home where I basically raised myself I turned to God at five. NOT religious in the sense of being a church goer, but kind of spiritual. By the time I was 14 there had been at least three attempts on my life, leaving me with a 11 ft. fall onto a cement floor which would of taken my life had I not listened to that silent voice we all have inside which told me to stick out my arms as far as I could as the floor under me broke through, breaking my fall enough to avoid hitting the metal beams on each side of me as I landed on my feet.

The arms were torn apart, weeks of healing, but what really happened was deep inside my veins and bones, causing me to develop a rare blood condition, chronic phlebitus, I use to get blood clots the size of oranges in the back of my knees, this is why I was given only a few years to live IF I did not sit down and do nothing and go on dangerous drugs. This is why occasionally I have to deal with this condition today,BUT the main thing that this and the other near, some VERY near death situations taught me was that NO matter, how organized, smart, or how much money or lack of money a person has we are NOT in charge and by giving this to the one who IS in charge, and seeking out the right direction we should going, things start to fall in place and WHEN things do fall apart, as there will always be challenges to test us, HE will help us get through. ONE VERY important thing, maybe the most is NEVER get ego, never believe that the inner VOICE we feel/hear through our heart is ALWAYS from God, as the great deceiver knows ALL world history, your and your families history, events etc.AND that deceiver will tell you a THOUSAND truths to get you to believe just one lie. I've met so many, many people that have been all messed up because they forget this one thing. (another LONG story)

Can't say I'm not happy to hear that you will be searching for a place in the N. West. May I also suggest you reference Mother Earth News, they have a great Ad section where people sell homes, land, ranches etc. A great source of info and a lot of great information to use on your new land.

Remember even though you love decorating, it's better to think SMALL right now, less to heat. Also think simple as you can so NOT to give those you don't want to the impression you have more than you have. Simple living is best right now, safer in every way. I will continue to pray that you are able to do what would be best for you, your husband and family. While you are right about not being in control we can do our best to be as prepared for all scenarios as possible. This is not a war between one political party and another, One religion and another, or even one country and another, this is a war for our souls, it's totally about good fighting evil. Sounds unreal, but just read, read and read. AND listen to people who have been into this for decades now and who have had there eyes opened.
