It was awhile back that I had a note from her and posted how I was hoping she'd return to the board when things slowed down. She mentioned around Christmas, about this special trip to NY, and in the note mentioned she would be going soon. I suggested the Today show to her, and I had actually forgotten the day she would be there with all that was going on here, but I had the TV on and stopped to watch the weather, and that's the segment they show the crowd outside, and her beautiful red hair caught my eye, still not sure if that was her and her sister, but sure looked like Mary, camera moved so fast.

And Mary over the years being part of a few message boards I have learned to watch this segment of the show giving it real attention, have seen many of my online friends there.

Really nice seeing you here this morning. Something else about the credit card issue, Sears sent me a card, WITHOUT my wanting one, I cut it up, called them and told them to close that account. NOW what most people do not know, even if you do not want the card, closing an acct can affect your credit rating. I actually don't and don't plan on buying much the rest of my life, so don't care, but IF you do, this is something you all need to know.

Also EVEN if you cut the card up and throw it out and they still have your account open, they can charge you service charges even if you signed nothing and never used their card at all. It took me a whole HOUR yesterday to get to the bank in charge of this and make sure they close that account.

Now I've had a seldom used Visa for like forty years, BUT if they start charging a service charge I will cancel that one too. I do use my master card as my long distance and other bills goes on that, giving me free dollars and consolidating my bills so I only have to write ONE check, saving $1 postage on each bill, plus check costs.

Yes, I'm very cheap. I also pay my mastercard and use it like a small savings account, where I keep enough for the phone bill and other bills and this way NEVER fall behind, but some cards, including VISA now forbids you keeping a negative balance in your favor.

These guys are loan sharks for sure, and need their hands slapped by gov. BUT gov. is a bigger thief and they are not going to do anything for us, the little man.

Hope you have a nice day, still rushing to get things caught up before the snow flies, can't believe how much colder than normal it is. By shutting down at four pm except on Fridays, I'm getting things done earlier, and getting to bed by 7:30 and this seems to be helping my body, just hoping to get some extra rest and sleep before I have to be up every two hours with the wood stove.
