Hi Diana, great to see you here, how are you doing? You must have great memories from the farm. Life is changing fast and everyone, city or country are going to have to learn how to grow some of their own food. I now have a pressure canner, but did not get the number of veggies I needed to can this year, too much rain.

Living like this is not like having a garden three months of the year, it's a lot of planning, starting early and ending late in the season to enable us to have fresh food as long as possible so that we don't have to get into the stored food as quick. Most people do not realize that from harvesting time in August, it's another year till the next harvest is ready and when you don't depend on the stores for what you need, that means you either have it put up or go without.

For dinner today, I had a tiny piece of beef, and an unbelievable salad, few lettuce and chicory leaves, an apple, Italian tomato, little red pepper, lots of herbs and spices, apple cider vinegar, hemp oil, hemp seeds, garlic, two chopped hard boiled eggs and a little canned salmon. A big meal on its own and really healthy.
