Im referrng to Nabhi or Navi kriya.
Truth of the matter is that few understand what is meant by Khechari..it is much more than raising the tongue behind the uvala. Raising tongue to this level plus attaining a certain important experience may then qualify one to receive instructions on second kriya. The tongue is then utilized in a certain way along with performance of second kriya. Otherwise it is ineffective. Apparently, only a few kriya teachers know this. Most teach only early stage of Kechari Mudra.
Paramahamsa Yogananda had to modify second kriya..so that it could be done without kechari mudra. People are getting confused these days because of inadequate understanding of processes of higher (omkar) kriya.
I believe people should practice kriya the way shown to them (by their teacher) with all their heart and soul. Sincerity will take one much further than trying to adopt and hodgepodge techniques of kriya from other sources.
We are assured by Lahiri himself that all possibilities are contained in the first kriya. It takes sincere practice. Otherwise, constant spiritual window shopping and time absorbed by tracking down this source or that source wastes valuable time that could be spent in Kriya Sadhana.
