I will check into the issue of whether there is a "dual point" for the sun and the solar system which comes out to 24,000 years. I seem to remember this occuring from one of my astronomy readings. Perhaps I am wrong. As I mentioned in my other post the precession of the earth is related to a wobble in the earth's axis that is primarily related to the pull of the moon.

I will look into this some more.

The ancient texts in India were certainly astronomically more accurate than those in Europe until well past Galileo. Galileo was in terrible trouble with the Catholic Church with his idea of a non-earth centered universe.
