In reply to: M - 24 May 2001 's message, "Q and A with Shibendu Lahiri" on 13:52

This post seems to have produced the predictable knee-jerk reaction from a certain person on another board. But what Shibendu is saying here does not in any way deny the existance of light seen at the spiritual eye.

Certainly it is a fact that light is seen by the yogi. Each chakra has its own distictive colour, shape, sound and even taste for those who meditate deeply (as opposed to those who can merely quote from others without having any valid spiritual experience of their own).

What is being said is that these things are simply astral phenomena, and as such not too much importance should be placed upon them. Much the same thing was said by Ramana Maharishi many times to his followers who were over anxious for experiences.
