Certainly SRF was interested in the case and probably had some level of involvement. To think otherwise seems unreasonable in the light of the fact that some of the women involved in the case were/are SRF members and have sought counselling from SRF ministers in regards to their sexual abuse at Ananda. For SRF or SRF members to completely ignore the allegations of sexual abuse occuring under the watch of someone claiming to promote and represent the ideals of Yogananda teachings would seem to me to be incredibly inresponsible. On the other hand, any kind of assistance or consolation of those women could be percieved as a conspiracy against Ananda. The bottom line however, regardless of the extent of involvement of SRF, is whether the allegations of these women are true. Apparently the court thought so. Whatever SRF has done is NOTHING compared to what Kriyananda has done to innocent and unsuspecting women over the years. All legal issues aside, in my mind the fact that Kriyananda was doing these things while assuming the role of a representative of Yogananda gives SRF complete moral justification be both interested and involved (at some level) in the case.
