Does anyone here read Hinduism Today magazine? They used to carry SRF advertisements (along with ads of the other direct disciples of Yogananda and their organizations) and occasionally included sayings of Yogananda and included him in their lists of Hindu gurus and important Hindu personalities.
Then all of a sudden all SRF advertisements stopped, along with the postive presentation of Yogananda and his work in their articles. I was told this was because SRF used strong-arm tactics with them and insisted that they not permit ads from Kriyananda, Roy Eugene Davis, Norman Paulsen, and the other various teachers from the Kriya lineage. SRF tried to pull the same "we are the only way" stuff with them they pull with everybody, but Hinduism Today revolted. As a result, their magazine is now totally devoid of Yogananda, as if he had never existed. Whenever they do pieces on the modern influential Hindus, gurus, etc, they always leave Yogananda out, while including Vivekananda, Ramakrishna, Aurobindo, etc. There are no more SRF ads, BUT...there are still plenty of Ananda ads and Roy Davis ads etc. So it appears SRF lost this one.
