Thomas,

That was very beautifully stated. It covers all the bases. And like you noted, it will all be ignored, if past history is to be any guide.

One of the main problems, as I see it, all decisions are made by the Board, which in truth, is Daya. And that doesn't work well either in the spiritual world or corporations, who are at least accountable to shareholders.

We, the devotees are, however, taught that it is the highest form of discipleship to be "loyal." A wonderful concept and spiritual trait, provided the loyalty is to one's guru or Master. But when that same level of lockstep is demanded by the guru's followers who ascend to the the presidency of the board, it becomes cult-like, I'm afraid.

I've chaffed over this for many years. Even to the point of really having no contact with the organization, even though I live within driving distance of all the temples and shrines. I just feel shackled by this type of "whatever the board does is what Master wants" type of conditioning.

So again, these are strange times we live in. Many devotees on the other, "no controversy" boards are interpreting these allegations and controversies as not worthy of examination, and certainly no need for concern.

And that's what concerns me.

Bill
