"This is why I ask for geological evidence from credible scientists who have studies the subject, not some popular New Age theories."
If people only believed and lived their lives according to what "credible scientists" say, no one would ever have set foot on any truly spiritual path. Many great advances in science would have never occurred. What "credible scientist" has ever verified that God exists, or that Yogananda or any other has ever achieved any degree of Cosmic Consciousness? Has any scientist ever proven that Babaji really exists? Or has been alive for over a thousand years?
In the time of Galileo and Copernicus, credible scientists knew beyond the shadow of a doubt that the earth was the center of the universe and persecuted those heretics who felt otherwise with their "fantasies" that the planets revolved around the sun. In the time of Columbus, the credible scientists knew for sure that the world was flat. In more recent times, the credible scientists said it was impossible for heavier-than-air craft to fly, and up through the 1980's the credible scientists were so sure that nothing could travel faster than the speed of light.
History tells us quite clearly that he who bases his life on what "credible scientists" say is walking the path of the fool, for so many of the "credible scientists" have their own dogmatic religion they buy into.
Scientific research has its place, but often the assumptions upon which the methods are based, and all too often the conclusions that are drawn therefrom, are victims of the scientist's preconceived idea as to how it should be. So while scientific data and analysis has its place, but someone with an open mind will likely draw quite different conclusions than one with a closed mind.
